CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB
- Job location: ICRA – Catalan Institute for Water Research, Girona, Spain
- Number of positions available: 1
- Expected start: February 2021
- Temporal Position. The position is for 3 Months (approximately)
- Part Time Position (25 h/week)
- Gross Annual Salary package: 9.375 €
JOB PURPOSE / PROJECT DESCRIPTION
- Research Area at ICRA: Technologies and evaluation (AIII)
- Project: ECAM-GIZ.
The goal of ECAM-GIZ is to develop a web-based platform to monitor the greenhouse gases emissions from the urban water cycle in cities. We are looking a graduated or a highly motivated student (4th course in the informatics degree) from the programming degree. The selected candidates will join a team at ICRA in charge of developing web-based applications for the water sector. Our vision is to develop tools for the society (free and Open source) so that highly valuable information is generated and transferred to the research sector to enhance our knowledge and to tackle important societal challenges. The candidate would be trained on ICRA’s approach to develop web-based applications. The candidate will take responsibilities in coding the web-based application following the templates provided by ICRA.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & SELECTION CRITERIA
Must Have – Required
Studies on informatics (can be students who have not yet finished their degree).
Experience in programming (C/C++/C#/Java, R / Matlab/Simulink, Node JS, Scala, PHP or similar (Express, ASP, RoR, etc.), HTML5/CSS3, MySQL/MongoDB, Python, Git / Github, Linux / Bash, Arduino / Raspberry Pi)
Skills in programming acquired during the degree.
