On 9 July, ICRA hosted the kick-off meeting of the NaturImpAct project (FCT-25-23433), an initiative aimed at promoting nature-based solutions for greywater treatment and reuse, with particular attention to green walls and their potential application in urban and residential environments.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Catalan Housing Agency (Agència de l’Habitatge de Catalunya, AHC) and ICRA researchers, including Eva Maria París, Josep Linares, Marta Arrufí, Silvia Mata, Sara Rodríguez-Mozaz, Inna Martínez, Josep Pueyo-Ros, Eric Herran, Joaquim Comas, Esther Mendoza and Gianluigi Buttiglieri.

During the session, participants were introduced to the institutional context of the AHC, previous projects and ongoing initiatives, as well as the potential of green walls for greywater treatment and reuse. The structure of the NaturImpAct project was also reviewed, including its work packages, partners’ tasks and responsibilities, management aspects and communication requirements.

The meeting provided an opportunity to identify new synergies between the AHC and ICRA, define the next steps of the project and conclude with a visit to the institute’s facilities.
