The project aims to develop special graphene sponge anodes tailored for electrochemical degradation of all PFAS. Short-chain PFAS are of particular concern due to their significant mobility in the environment and the difficulty of removing them from contaminated water, compared to long-chain PFAS. Their high mobility allows them to reach water bodies of critical importance for human exposure, such as drinking water resources. Moreover, short-chain PFAS are often formed as unintended byproducts during the manufacturing of long-chain PFAS. Beyond water cleanup, FOCUS4PFAS seeks to address PFAS contamination through smart, cost-effective, and environmentally sound solutions. Through the GRAPHEC initiative, the project aims to create a sustainable water treatment technology that is simple, affordable, and applicable in diverse settings\u2014from large urban centers to remote communities.\r\n\r\nFunding agency:<\/strong>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19358\" src=\"https:\/\/icra.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/marie_curie1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"64\" \/>","logo_financiadores":"","logo_coordinadores":"","logo_colaboradores":"","imatge":19544,"id_personal":[7260,7421],"id_personal_adj":[7421],"importtotalotorgat":"165312,96","documents":null,"inputs_icra":"","id_project":2212,"codi_referencia":"","ambit_del_projecte":""},"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projecte\/17081","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projecte"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projecte"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=17081"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projecte\/17081\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":19551,"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projecte\/17081\/revisions\/19551"}],"acf:post":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/equip\/7421"},{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/equip\/7260"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=17081"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categoria_projectes","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/icra.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categoria_projectes?post=17081"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
