    Research topics:

    • Assessment of current supply and demand analysis of freshwater-related ecosystem services at the water body (WFD) and river basin scales, and assessing changes of these services under different scenarios, considering both global change and management scenarios.
    • Development of process-based and statistical water quality models to assess the effects of the ecosystem service water purification on selected contaminants.
    • Design of nature-based solutions, such as green walls or river restoration actions for water purification.
