Degree and PhD in Marine Sciences from the University of Cádiz (UCA) in 2002 and 2008 respectively. Doctoral thesis with European mention and extraordinary doctoral award. In 2009, she was initially hired as a doctoral assistant professor of environmental chemistry at the UCA and later by the Torres Quevedo program of the State Research Agency (AEI) at the company HTMasterbatch. From the end of 2009 to 2011 employed as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Sussex, Brighton, United Kingdom. In 2012, postdoctoral researcher at the UCA and in 2013, she returned to the University of Sussex for a period of 7 months. In August 2013 she joined ICRA as a postdoctoral researcher in the Quality area where she worked for 3 years and 4 months. In January 2017, she was hired as a young researcher leading the Xenometabolomics project, at the Institute of Environmental Diagnostics and Water Studies of the Superior Council of Scientific Research (IDAEA-CSIC). Finally, in May 2020, he returns to ICRA as head of the Mass Spectrometry Unit (UME), specifically Liquid Chromatography coupled to Mass Spectrometry (LCMS), of ICRA’s scientific and technical services
