Data Protection Rights of Individuals

You have the right to obtain information about whether or not ICRA is processing your personal data.

As an interested party, you have the right to access your personal data, as well as request the rectification of inaccurate data or, where appropriate, request its deletion, among other reasons, when the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

You can request the limitation of the processing of your data in accordance with the conditions established in Article 18 of the General Data Protection Regulation. In this case, we will only process your data to exercise or defend claims or in the case of protecting the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest. In certain circumstances, you can object, stating the reasons for your request, to the processing of your personal data.

 

How can you exercise your rights before ICRA?

You can access your data, request its rectification or deletion, oppose its processing, and request its limitation by sending your request to the address of the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA), H2O Building, Research and Innovation Park of the University of Girona, Emili Grahit, 101, 17003 Girona (Spain). You must clearly indicate in your request which right(s) you are exercising.

This request must be resolved and notified within one month of receipt, even if your personal data is not processed, a period that can be extended by two more months (up to a maximum of three months), if necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests. In this latter case, ICRA must inform you of the extension within the first month.
