Gutiérrez Provecho, Carmen

Carmen Gutiérrez is a senior technician in Analysis and Control, specialized in the collection, treatment and analysis of samples from aquatic ecosystems. He is a member of the team working on national and international projects. His professional skills include handling spectrophotometry and fluorescence techniques, as well as other molecular biology techniques, such as nucleic acid extractions and polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

Carmen is in charge of the management and maintenance of the laboratories of the Resources and Ecosystems Area, as well as of the Line of Quality and Microbiological Diversity. This involves the supervision of the laboratories, the management of the inventory and the general organization of the work space. In addition, he is responsible for the training of new staff.

Finally, we must highlight his participation in public procurement, being part of the process of implementation and execution of dynamic acquisition systems for the purchase of laboratory material at our institution, through the CSUC purchasing center.
