Anna Pico is graduated in biology and biotechnology from the University of Girona (UdG) and has a master’s degree in bioinformatics and biostatistics from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). Her work at ICRA focuses on wastewater epidemiology (WWA). Specifically, she works on the EPISARS project, funded by the La Marató de Tv3 foundation, which investigates the potential of SARS-CoV-2 EAR applied to buildings as an alternative to individual clinical tests, among other objectives. A milestone of the project has been the use of 3D printed passive samplers that are easy to install in different systems and lower sampling costs. Her role is transversal and carries out tasks from sampling to data analysis, including sample processing in the laboratory.
