She completed his PhD thesis at Imperial College London on pesticide degradation by AOP processes in drinking water, followed by postdoctoral research on marine fungal antioxidants as biomarkers of recalcitrant organic matter. Her current position at ICRA involves the uptake of micropollutants in crops fertilized with treated wastewater. She has been awarded a mobility grant from the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and has collaborated with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD (USA).
