Support Research Technician
Paula Siñeriz is a research technician at ICRA within the RIVSTRESS project, in the research line of “Biodiversity and functions of aquatic ecosystems”. She has a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Oviedo and a master’s degree in Environmental Microbiology from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
Her research focuses on the study of the impact of various stressors (e.g. pesticides, nutrient concentrations, temperature, flow) on the structure and functions of the algal and bacterial communities that make up fluvial biofilms . In addition to research, she also has a great interest in scientific dissemination, and has worked in the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the University of Oviedo as manager of the European Night of Researchers and other dissemination activities.
