Josephine Vosse  is a predoctoral researcher at the Catalan Institute for Water Research. His current research in the ReUseMP3 project (www.reusemp3.icra.cat), as well as in collaboration with HYDROUSA (www.hydrousa.org) and the PRIMA-SAFE (www.icra.cat/projecte_detall.php?&id=215&lang=3) projects, concerns on the growth of crops for human consumption in nature-based water treatment and reuse applications for various greywater resources. She hereby focusses on the accumulation of pharmaceutical products and endocrine-disrupting compounds in the edible part of crops irrigated with greywater, with the intention to help bridge the knowledge gap identified in the European regulation on watereuse (2020/741), about the potential risk to human health related to agricultural irrigation in water reuse applications. The legal requirements for water reuse in the European Union were the subject of her research at TH Köln (Germany) to obtain the master’s degree.
