The aim of this line is the study of the appearance, fate and transformation mechanisms of chemical pollutants during the treatment of waste and drinking water.
Research topics:
• Study of the fate and behavior of emerging (micro)pollutants in the treatment of waste water, regenerated water and drinking water through conventional and innovative treatments.
• Study of biotic and abiotic transformations of emerging (micro)pollutants, identification of transformation products, characterization of precursors and transformation pathways.
• Assessment of the risks associated with pollutants derived from water treatment.
