This line studies sanitation networks as a tool to monitor public health (wastewater-based epidemiology) and to analyse the dissemination of contaminants in the environment. It focuses on sensorisation, monitoring, modelling, and the use of digital twins to understand contaminant dynamics and their risks, mainly addressing engineering aspects.
