A web platform allows users to select solid retention systems to reduce the impact of Combined Sewer Overflow events

Aigües de Manresa, S.A., together with the Catalan Institute for Water Research and ABM Engineering and Consulting Services SL, has developed the web platform “Solucions DSU” as part of the project “Solutions for the Management of Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Events,” funded by the Catalan Water Agency. This innovative tool enables the exploration of various mechanisms for solid retention and water volume management during CSO events, with the goal of minimizing environmental impact.

The platform offers options to filter and select solutions based on their primary function. Additionally, it allows users to download informative sheets detailing the characteristics, advantages, disadvantages, and installation recommendations for each solution, considering the new premises of RDPH 665/2023.

Another key feature of “Solucions DSU” is the interactive map, where users can view already installed solutions throughout Catalonia. This collaborative map allows any operating company to share their experiences to enrich the platform with real cases and new contributions. The platform’s developers encourage operating companies to contact them to incorporate new solutions into the map.
