Anna Pico, researcher at ICRA and PhD candidate in the Water Science and Technology program at the University of Girona (UdG), has won second prize in the local phase of the “Present Your Thesis in 4 Minutes” competition, organized by the Doctoral School and promoted by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRi).
The event was held on May 6 at the Faculty of Arts and Tourism of UdG and featured fourteen PhD candidates from various programs. In addition to Anna Pico, ICRA PhD students Pamela Colman Vega and Javier Ortiz also took part. Participants had to explain their research in a maximum of four minutes using clear, accessible language for a general audience.
With her presentation titled “You flush it, I’ll take care of it!”, Anna Pico captured the audience’s and jury’s attention through a direct, engaging and environmentally conscious talk. Her presentation focused on her research into wastewater management, highlighting its relevance for sustainability and environmental health.
