On February 13-14, 2025, Athens (Greece) hosted the consortium meeting of the AquaLoops4Med project (Mediterranean Network for Sustainable and Circular Water Management in the Agrifood Sector, GA 101161349), under the Interregional Innovation Instrument (i3) call.
ICRA researcher Gianluigi Buttiglieri participated in the meeting, where strategies were defined to establish an interregional network promoting efficient and sustainable water management in the Mediterranean agrifood sector. Coordinated by the Catalan Water Partnership, the project aims to foster innovative solutions to optimize water resource use.
ICRA will play a key role in several work packages, including the assessment of human health risks associated with crops irrigated with reclaimed wastewater, a crucial tool to ensure the safety and sustainability of these practices.
