The research team of the Technologies and Assessment (TiA) area of ICRA has recently participated in different international conferences to present the results of their projects.

In September he attended the 4th IWA Resource Recovery Conference held in Istanbul (Turkey) virtually to present the work on the “Improvement of biogas production from the anaerobic treatment of municipal wastewater through a pretreatment by direct osmosis” with Soraya Zahedi, Federico Ferrari, Gaetan Bandin, José Luis Balcázar and Maite Pijuan, as well as the “Study of the effect of temperature in the anaerobic digestion of slaughterhouse wastewater: bioenergy, pharmaceutical compounds and antibiotic resistance genes” by Soraya Zahedi, Meritxell Gros, Mira Petrovic, José Luis Balcázar and Maite Pijuan.

From August 29 to September 3, they participated in the virtual meeting of the 72nd Annual Meeting of the International Society for Electrochemistry (ISE) in Jeju (South Korea). There Natalia Ormeño Cano and Jelena Radjenovic spoke about “Electrochemical degradation of antibiotics using continuous flow graphene sponge electrodes” and Anna Segues Codina and Jelena Radjenovic about “Disinfection of chlorine-free water using sponge electrodes in base of N-Doped”.

A few weeks before, from August 21 to 25 Ilse Smets, Àngel Robles, Giorgio Mannina; Joaquim Comas, Victoria Ruano, Christoph Brepols, Jérôme Harmand, Ignasi Rodríguez-Roda, Marc Héran and Marion Alliet had participated in the workshop “MBR Modeling Jam – Who reproduces ‘better’ large-scale data?” in the framework of the Virtual 7th IWA Water Resource Recovery Modeling seminar in Arosa (Switzerland).
