Friday, 27 December 2024

The ICRA researcher Josephine Vosse completed a three-month research stay at KU Leuven for three months (September to December 2024). Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Erik Smolders, she worked within the Division of Soil and Water Management at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering, as part of the KU Leuven Plant Institute (LPI).

The primary objective of her stay was to exchange knowledge and receive feedback on the assessment and evaluation of plant growth, as well as the bioaccumulation and translocation of organic micropollutants in plants.

Additionally, she visited Aquafin (www.aquafin.be/en) at the Leuven wastewater treatment plant and the Research Station for Vegetable Production (www.proefstation.be/en) in Sint-Katelijne-Waver, Belgium. These visits were conducted within the framework of the Life ACLIMA project (www.lifeaclima.eu/en), ReUseMP3 project (PID2020-115456RB-I00 /MCIN/AEI / 10.13039/501100011033) and the FI fellowship (2022FI_B 00084).
