Catalan Water Research Institute research and innovation for the sustainable use of water

The director of the ICRA, Damià Barceló, will be honoris causa of the UdL

The Governing Council of the University of Lleida (UdL) has approved the appointment of doctor ‘honoris causa’ of the director of the Catalan Water Research Institute (ICRA), Damià Barceló , at the proposal of rector Jaume Puy .

Damià Barceló holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Ioannina (Greece). He has also been awarded the Jaume I Environmental Protection Award (2007); the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Water Award of Saudi Arabia (2012), and the Recipharm International Environmental Award (2012), from a leading Swedish pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Europe.

Damià Barceló will be sponsored by professor Ramon J. Batalla, from the Department of Environment and Soil Sciences on April 29, at 6pm, at the UdL.
