The meeting began with the welcome of Damia Barceló, director of ICRA, and the presentation of ICRA’s research services and success stories by Maite Pijuan, head of the Technologies and Evaluation area. Xavier Xirgu then presented the work of the Fundació Girona Regió del Coneixement as a collaborator of the INOWASIA project and, immediately afterwards, Ignasi Rodríguez Roda, from Lequia UdG, took the floor to talk about the objectives of INOWASIA. The round of interventions ended with presentations by the representatives of six of the seven collaborating universities in the project that were present at the meeting: Vietnam National University Hanoi (Hanoi), Can Tho University (Ho Chi Minh), National University Of Laos (Vientiane), Souphanouvong University (Luang Prabang), Institute Of Technology Of Cambodia (Phnom Penh) and University Of Battambang (Battanbamg) The visit concluded with a tour of ICRA’s facilities and laboratories. Thus, the members of the delegation saw the Artificial River Plant, learned how the Waste Water Treatment Pilot Plant works, they were explained what ICRA’s Scientific and Technical Services consist of and the operation of the Biological and Molecular Techniques Unit.
