On January 16th, the international launch webinar for the Nat4Wat tool took place. This revolutionary tool is designed to promote the use of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in urban water management in the context of the MULTISOURCE project (GA 101003527).
The platform is web-based and completely free to use, allowing users to explore a wide range of sustainable solutions to address urban water challenges. Based on specialized scientific literature and insights from experts in water treatment and stormwater management, Nat4Wat helps users select the most suitable solution according to their specific needs, thus contributing to a more efficient and sustainable use of water resources.
In addition, it enables users to evaluate and compare different alternatives using multiple criteria, such as impact on biodiversity, social benefits, costs, and spatial requirements for the efficient implementation of NBS. The tool also connects users with companies experienced in implementing NBS, facilitating the initiation of projects.
This tool has placed second in the best innovation project of the VII Water Innovation Day of the Catalan Water Partnership. Unlock nature’s potential in urban water management and contribute to more sustainable and efficient water management practices.
