Copenhagen from 11 to 16 September
ICRA researchers from the ANTARES project will participate in the World Water congress of the International Water Association (IWA) that will take place in Copenhagen from September 11 to 16. This is the most important congress on topics related to the treatment and pollution of water bodies and brings together more than 1000 professionals, including researchers and companies.
ANTARES is a project coordinated between the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Catalan Water Research Institute (ICRA) and funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of the Spanish Government that deals with the transformation and elimination of antibiotics in wastewater with emerging technologies. The ICRA research team, led by the Dr. Jelena Radjenovic and the Dr. Maite Pijuan, investigates the enhancement of anaerobic degradation of persistent pollutants in the presence of biologically reduced graphene oxide (bioRGO).
