Oriol Casabella is a PhD student in the Water Science and Technology program of the UdG and has a master’s degree in environmental engineering. His thesis focuses on the removal of pharmaceuticals and the increase of methane production under anaerobic conditions, improving microbial activity through the addition of conductive materials (such as graphene oxide), and is part of the ANTARES project team. Oriol worked for two years on the degradation of organic pollutants in aquifers at the Autonomous University of Barcelona before joining ICRA. Currently, he is in the last year of his doctoral thesis.
