Educational activity on the issue of water at Escola Cassià Costal in Girona

Monday, 27 May 2024

Last week, primary school students from Escola Cassià Costal in Girona participated in an educational activity on the issue of water and pollution. This action is part of a dissemination project in which a researcher from the Catalan Water Research Institute (ICRA-CERCA) is participating.

The activity, which included several presentations and practical exercises, aimed to raise awareness among the little ones about the importance of water as an essential resource and the challenges posed by its pollution. Students had the opportunity to learn about water cycles, sources of pollution and ways we can help protect this vital resource.

The mission of the outreach project is to educate and sensitize the population on critical environmental issues, encouraging greater understanding and action on the part of future generations. These types of initiatives are fundamental to building a society that is more aware and responsible towards natural resources. ICRA-CERCA will continue to support and promote outreach projects like this one, which not only educates, but inspires new generations to take an active role in protecting the environment.
