At the 2nd IWA Young Water Professionals Conference, held from 14 to 17 June 2026 at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy), ICRA researchers Esther Mendoza and Gianluigi Buttiglieri organized the workshop “Using Nat4Wat as a Decision-Support Tool for Nature-Based Solutions in Urban Water Management”, which brought together more than 30 participants from different countries and professional backgrounds.

The workshop showcased the potential of Nat4Wat, developed within the framework of the GGsolutions project (PID2024-161596OB-C21), funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF, EU), as a decision-support tool to facilitate the planning and implementation of nature-based solutions in urban water management.

The session provided a valuable space for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and discussion on the role of decision-support tools in advancing more sustainable and resilient urban water management. It also helped increase the visibility of Nat4Wat and strengthen ties with the international water community.
