Water reuse is one of the key elements in moving towards more resilient and sustainable water resource management. In a context marked by water scarcity and the effects of climate change, the use of non-conventional water resources, such as reclaimed water, is becoming increasingly important to ensure water availability and reduce pressure on conventional resources.

In this context, ICRA participated in the conference “The Use of Reclaimed and Recycled Water in the Agri-food Sector: Opportunities and Challenges”, organised by IRTA at the Teatre Auditori de Granollers, which brought together representatives from the scientific community, public administrations, and the agri-food and water sectors.

During the conference, Joaquim Comas, ICRA researcher, took part in the discussion on the challenges and opportunities associated with the use of reclaimed water, contributing a research perspective on the management and reuse of water resources.
