ICRA researcher Gianluigi Buttiglieri was invited to the second edition of the EDAR 360° workshop, entitled “The new UWWTD: from paper to action”, organised by the Catalan Water Partnership and hosted at Família Torres (Vilafranca del Penedès) on 9 July 2025. On this occasion, Buttiglieri delivered the presentation “Expanding the scope: increasingly smaller and decentralised WWTPs”.

The conference brought together more than a hundred professionals from the water sector and served to analyse and debate the challenges and opportunities posed by the new European Union Directive 2024/3019 on urban wastewater treatment.
