Research and Innovation for the sustainable use of water
Laia Estrada Verdura defended her doctoral thesis on February 18, 2026, at ICRA. The thesis, titled “Integrating surface and subsurface water resources in catchment modelling to support decision-making”, was supervised by Vicenç Acuña.
The thesis develops and implements a catchment model that characterizes and evaluates surface and subsurface water resources, in terms of both quantity and quality, with the aim of supporting decision-making in the field of water management and planning.
