Researchers from the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA) gathered in La Fosca (Palamós) during the week of 13 April for a two-day intensive writing workshop aimed at advancing high-impact scientific publications. The retreat brought together multidisciplinary teams working on five ongoing papers addressing key water challenges, including drought resilience, micropollutant monitoring, ecosystem services, water security, and urban resilience in conflict scenarios.
Each day was structured to maximise productivity and collaboration. Mornings were dedicated to focused work in small-group work, where authors co-developed their manuscripts in real time. These sessions were followed by plenary discussions, allowing participants to exchange feedback, align ideas, and strengthen the scientific quality of the contributions.
The workshop provided a dynamic environment that fostered exchange and critical discussion, driving progress toward impactful publications aligned with current environmental and societal challenges.
