WEBINAR: HYDROUSA PROJECT

More than 100 people from all over Europe attended the HYDROUSA Project Webinar that took place virtually on July 9. This virtual seminar was organized by CWP, ICRA, the National Technical University of Athens and the Impact Hub Athens, with the aim of disseminating the progress in the development of the HYDROUSA project.

Sara Gabarrón, CWP Project Manager, opened the session and presented the webinar agenda as well as the first speaker, Project Coordinator Simos Malamis, who kicked off the webinar by presenting the concept of the Hydrousa project and the your goals Giulia Cipolletta and Francesco Fatone from UNIVPM continued to explain the legislation, barriers and opportunities for decentralized communities, leaving the floor to Patrik Karlsson from Alchemia-nova Greece to present the valorization of alternative rainwater water resources / sea ​​water

Fabio Masi from IRIDRA then provided information on the implementation of nature-based solutions to reclaim water. Afterwards, Óscar Prado from AERIS presented the opportunities to recover energy from waste water. Tarek El Arabi from Helipolis University explained the recycling of nutrients: Fertilization of an agroforestry field, followed by Zisis Tsiropoulos who presented the digitization of HYDROUSA services. The last presentation was by Dimitris Kokkinakis from Impact Hub Athens on spreading the word: a community of water allies. Before the end of the webinar, an interesting question section moderated by ICRA researcher Gianluigi Buttiglieri took place, where all the speakers contributed to solving the queries of the attendees
