Esther Mendoza participated in the international meeting of the COST Action Water4Reuse (CA23104), held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 19 to 22 May 2026. The event, organized by Center Rog and the University of Ljubljana, brought together almost 100 researchers and professionals for diverse meetings and thematic sessions showcasing ongoing water reuse initiatives and projects, and a technical visit to the Biotechnical Faculty.

The four-day meeting served as a valuable forum for exchanging expertise, discussing current challenges, and exploring innovative solutions for water reuse, topics closely aligned with the objectives of the NEWater project (PCI2024-153445; MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/EU), funded by the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI) and the European Union. It also strengthened connections within the network and opened new opportunities for future scientific collaboration.

Water4Reuse is a COST Action comprising more than 600 members from 42 countries. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange, the Action connects researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to develop sustainable solutions to global water challenges.
