GRAPHEC took part in the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit 2025, held from 4 to 6 November within the framework of the Smart City Expo World Congress. The summit has become a key meeting point for the deep tech ecosystem, bringing together startups, researchers, companies, investors and institutions to connect, share knowledge and build the future.
Throughout the event, GRAPHEC had a stand in the startup pavilion, where it presented and explained its technology to industry professionals, potential partners and key ecosystem stakeholders. In addition, GRAPHEC was selected as one of the five startups to watch, gaining the opportunity to showcase its technology on the main stage alongside four other promising startups.
The Barcelona Deep Tech Summit gives a voice to startups that demonstrate how scientific research in deep technologies can transform the future through real and sustainable solutions. In this context, GRAPHEC stood out for applying electrochemical research to remove persistent toxic pollutants, such as PFAS, from water, helping to protect both human health and the environment.
GRAPHEC is dedicated to designing electrochemical water treatment systems that employ graphene sponge electrodes, with a specific goal of eliminating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from water. Its technology degrades PFAS without generating toxic and persistent byproducts, driving innovation with purpose and a positive, sustainable impact.
