ICRA researcher Gianluigi Buttiglieri organized the Mid-term NEWater Project Workshop, entitled “Nature-Based Solutions for Water Reuse: Sustainable Systems Supporting Agriculture and Circular Economies”, held at ICRA on 17 September. The aim of the workshop was to promote a dynamic exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences on how nature-based solutions can foster sustainable water reuse, enhance agricultural resilience, and support circular economies.
Several companies and institutions, including Alchemia-nova, Sorigué, Águas do Tejo Atlântico, the CWP cluster, and the universities of Basilicata, IDR-Montpellier, and Ibn Tofaïl, took part with featured presentations.
The event was held in a hybrid format (in-person at ICRA and online) and brought together more than 70 participants. In the afternoon, also at ICRA’s facilities, the project consortium meeting took place.

Both the workshop and the meeting are part of the NEWater project (Natural based and low Energy consumption unconventional solutions for the management of WATER sources, PCI2024-153445), funded by the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI).
