CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB

  • Non-permanent Indefinite Position (approximately 24 months)
  • Annual Gross Salary: €28,000

 

OFFER DESCRIPTION

 The research technician advanced will have to develop mathematical models for the simulation of processes associated with the water cycle, such as hydrological models, water quality models, wastewater treatment plants, or collector systems.

 

KEY DUTIES

1- Develop or co-develop numerical models to simulate natural processes (hydrology and water quality) at basin or sub-basin scale, using SWAT+ or similar models.2- Develop or co-develop advanced statistical models based on AI for different applications in the field of the water cycle.

 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Must have – Required

Research Field or Field of knowledge:

Computer engineering

Qualifications and Education Level:

Degree or Master’s degree in computer engineering

Skills:

Programming with Python, R, C++, and knowledge of numerical modeling (calibration techniques, sensitization, and uncertainty), as well as artificial intelligence.

Required Languages:

Catalan and English

Required Experience:

At least 12 months in a research center as a modeling technician.

 

Desirable

Advanced knowledge of numerical modeling, and experience in modeling natural systems using SWAT+.

Selection process:

In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
